White House Easter Egg Roll

For the second year we attended to Easter Egg Roll on the White House Lawn. It took place on April 9th. In order to get tickets, Jordan camped out on the night of the 6th with Sean and Kris (friends from school). Lucky for them it snowed that night. The day of the Egg Roll was cold but not raining which is a big improvement over last year. There is always a lot going on. They have breakfast for you before you enter the lawn. On the lawn there is egg dying, an egg hunt, people reading books, PBS characters, and face painting. There is also entertainment and Izzy and Abbi went crazy when Mylie Cyrus, aka Hannah Montana, took the stage. And then there is the traditional egg roll itself. This is when you get in racing lanes, get a spoon, and try to roll your egg across the finish line first. When you leave you get a goody bag but only if you are under 7. It has a collectible wooden egg, coloring books, peeps (my favorite Easter candy), a poster, and other fun prizes. All of the kids had fun. It is a great event.
